Processing Inspector

What the Zap, Pam, TOA, Cal, and Batch tabs do and how they map to the backend workflow.

The Processing Inspector is the center of PSRUI's processing workflow.

It does not edit charts directly. Instead, it updates the active session recipe and refreshes the preview.

Zap

  • operates on the Freq x Phase waterfall
  • supports single-channel clicks and box selection
  • v1 is limited to channel zapping

Pam

  • controls dedisperse
  • controls tscrunch, fscrunch, and bscrunch
  • controls phase rotate

These transforms first affect the preview. Export then applies the same recipe to a new output file.

TOA

  • choose a template archive
  • choose PGS, GIS, PIS, SIS, or ZPS
  • choose tempo2 or parkes output format
  • inspect raw pat output and a residual preview

PSRUI today: this is a pat-based v1 workflow, not yet a full tempo2 timing-residual interface.

Cal

  • accepts a calibration search path, database.txt, or a solution file
  • previews the pac command and log output
  • updates the active session preview

Batch

  • save and load recipes
  • define archive naming and output directories
  • optionally export TOA text alongside archives

Continue with Batch and Export.
